Fil-Am Friendship Highway, Bgy Anunas, Angeles City, Pampanga
The Phil-Am Friendship Highway was built to link Clark Air Base to the off-base housing subdivisions of Timog Park and Carmenville. From the Friendship Gate all the way to the Friendship Bridge the highway was soon lined with shops and restaurants to serve the passing family trade. Following Pinatubo the area searched it’s soul to find it’s future until a Korean community developed in Angeles and adopted it to become the “Korea Town” we know today, booming again with restaurants, shops, hotels and clubs.
